I see so many blogs about when the best time to see a dentist is.  Some say November because of health savings accounts and it gives you time to use the dental insurance for the year.  Some say January to have a fresh start and to get a good idea of what to plan for the year.  Some say to wait until you have more free time in the summer months. Dentist appointments are easy to put off, but doing so generally has a negative effect on your oral health.

When is it actually time to visit your Glendale Dentist? Probably right now.

  1. If you’re having any kind of tooth pain or tooth sensitivity, chances are it will only get worse.  Ignoring tooth pain can lead to larger problems dental problems down the road.

  2. If things get worse, the necessary dental treatment get more extensive AND more expensive.

  3. Honestly, there is no “good” time to see a dentist.  Don’t put things off.  See 1 and 2 above. Putting off a dental appointment can have disastrous consequences.

  4. If it’s been a long time….1,2,5,10 years…and you think “a few more months won’t hurt”…see points 1 and 2 above.

  5. Don’t wait for insurance or for the HAS…it helps some.  Money is important, but so is your health.

I’ve been doing this almost 21 years now and have seen the pattern repeat over and over. If it’s been a while for you, give our Glendale Dentist a call. We specialize in patients back to health and getting you to a point where all you have to do is maintain things with cleanings and minor fixes here and there. Even if you’re the type to come in every 5 years, we will see you with an open door and a non-judgemental attitude. If you’re strapped financially, we have a way to make it financially comfortable for you so that your cash flow isn’t tapped out. Check our our financial page for more info.
