One of the many changes at our Glendale, CA office is that we now have medical-grade air scrubbers in the main lobby and in every room. They have the capacity to change out the air in the rooms 6-10 times per hour and are able to filter particles (mold bacteria and viruses) down to .1 microns!
This is important because
- It cuts down on the time aerosols linger in the air in treatment rooms and
- While COVID is not considered airborne, we as dentists turn it airborne when we create those aerosols. But the good news is that the aerosolized virus is much bigger than .1 microns so that the scrubbing action of these air filters is maximized. Clean and sanitizer air is important now more than ever in the dental environment. And I want to do everything I can to protect myself, my dental team, and my Glendale patients.
As always, if you have questions about the updated safety equipment at our dental office, or would like to schedule an appointment, feel free to contact our office.
