So painful and so annoying.

How to Treat a Canker Sore

If you get a canker sore, here are a couple of things you can do:

  • 1) Warm salt water rinse: Helps keep the sore bacteria free so that it heals faster.
  • 2) Powdered alum: Get it at the store and place a pinch of it on a moist Q-Tip.  Apply it to the sore area for about 5 seconds, then rinse well.  *Warning* This hurts like a #$*! for that 5 seconds. It's a chemical cauterization of the sore.  But you get relief afterward.

Now how to prevent them in the first place. Use a "SLS" sodium laurel sulfate-free toothpaste. Gets some rest! Lots of Vitamin A, C and E.

If the sore is really bad, then you can call us and we can order another kind of prescription treatment for you.

Good luck!
