Happy New Year! and What's in a name? | Dr. Lucio H. Kim, DDS

Happy 2017! I hope your new year is starting off well and healthy!

I wanted to blog about "What's in a name".

Lucio H. Kim DDS

Some patients have asked me why I didn't name my office "Glendale Dental" or "Glendale Elite Smiles" or something along those lines.  They said that it would possibly help me with my Google rankings and with people searching for a dentist in the area.  When I opened the practice in 2001, I thought about that, but ultimately decided against it.

The reason was that the name of the practice is very important.  It tells the patient a little about the practice.  And for me, I wanted it to simply be my name.  The reason for this was that I wanted patients to know exactly what they were getting and who would be standing behind all the recommendations and dental work they would be entrusted to me.  And in the days of early Yelping and online reviews, it would be a bit easier to hide behind the general name of a clinic.  But if it were my name, I would be the only one responsible.  So I take pride in my practice and for what it represents.  I focus on the health of your teeth and to help you make sure you have them when you are in your twilight years and that you don't have to take them out to clean them!  I want patients to find me from good old fashioned word of mouth that "Dr. Lucio Kim" would be a great dentist for you.  So what is in a name is very important.  And I continue my promise to all my patients, current and future, that I work for their best interests and that I am here to help in any way I can.
