Happy December! The end of the year is upon us again!
And the end of the year "getting in for that tooth that's been hurting me all year because I want to use my insurance benefits before they run out at the end of the year and oh are you open on the 25th by the way b/c that's the only day I have off" crush is in full swing! And while I am more than happy to help because that is the main reason why I went into this profession, let's take a step back and chat about the next time.
When to Call Your Glendale Dentist
If anything is bothering you for about a week and isn't going away and is getting worse, don't wait. Getting in and seeing what is wrong and proactively taking control of the situation is ALWAYS better than waiting until it really really hurts and is swollen and you can't sleep and you're leaving for the holidays in a couple of days. And cheaper too! A filling or a crown is infinitely better than a root canal or extraction. But while we are on the topic of being proactive...don't wait to get cleanings and regular checkups b/c you don't have insurance. If you still get your oil changed in your car (which insurance doesn't cover), then you can definitely get the checkups you should be getting...ideally. Everyone has constraints and situations that can't do this, but most people can. The cleanings and checkups are much more economical than the major dental work that could be brewing over the years have gone unchecked. And people know this and it's human nature to put things like dental visits off. I am here when you want help, I am here when you don't want help, I am always here.
